Focus Groups
Hays Research Group is a leader in focus group research in Alaska. Our professional staff can handle all of your research needs whether you need a simple recruit for focus group participants, or to facilitate an entire research project across the state. HRG's professional team can handle every aspect of your qualitative research needs.

In addition to our traditional focus group format and facility, HRG is also a leader in virtual focus groups. Virtual focus groups utilize state of the art technology to connect our moderators to focus group participants all over the state using the video and audio technology built into most computers. This technology enables HRG and its clients to connect to individuals in areas of Alaska that would have previously not been feasible or practical.
HRG maintains a database of Alaskan households and extensive demographic data for nearly every person in the state. This proprietary database, coupled with over 12 years of experience conducting focus groups in Alaska, allows us to target groups and demographics in Alaska that no other company can reach.
Focus group recruiting is done in our fully staffed CATI call center, where state of the art technology assists us in quickly and effectively recruiting participants for our clients according to their quotas and specifications. Call backs, and reminder procedures are in place to ensure participation on the day of the focus group, as well as for additional screening purposes.
Research staff at HRG works closely with our clients to establish a question and topic guide that will address their needs and get the most out of each focus group. Our in-house state of the art focus group facility is set up to comfortably accommodate groups of 8-12 participants. Larger groups, or locations outside of Anchorage can be accommodated at various proven alternative venues. Behind the scenes, our clients can observe comfortably via closed circuit or live streaming anywhere in the world. Clients can even provide live feedback or questions to the moderator during the focus group.
After a focus group has concluded, HRG staff reviews notes and video recordings of the event to draw conclusions from the research to present to the client. In cases where it is appropriate, the media may be analyzed by a psychologist to interpret reactions, comments, and behavior that may otherwise be overlooked.
