Survey Research
![]() Survey research is one of the most important methods of measuring public opinion, and Hays Research Group is able to provide the most accurate and reliable survey research data in Alaska and the Northwest. With our expert staff and superior calling capacity, turnaround on our surveys can be as little as one day. We like to say "the difference is in the details." In the following paragraph we explain how a survey research project is completed from beginning to end with Hays Research Group, and how our attention to customer service and accuracy of data puts us ahead of the rest. We start each survey research project by assigning that particular project to a client service manager. This person will be your primary contact throughout the project. The next step is is meeting with our clients to help them design a survey instrument that will accurately and effectively obtain the information that they need. Before the calling takes place, all of the callers assigned to your project are briefed on the issue(s) being surveyed to ensure that they are capable of handling any problems that arise with confidence. On the day of the calling the calls are monitored by the Client Service Manager who is assigned to your project. He/she listens in to ensure that all of the questions are being asked properly and there are no problems with any of the calls or the survey instrument itself. At this point if any problems are encountered the calling is stopped and the problem is resolved. All of the data is collected by our callers using state of the art CATI software. Once the calling quota is achieved the data is collected and analyzed using SPSS Quancept software where it can be broken down even further using cross-tabulations if the client desires at an additional cost. Finally all of the data is analyzed by your Client Service Manager and presented to you in a summary of results including raw data coupled with visual representations when appropriate. The summary of results is available to our clients in print format as well as a digital (.PDF or word) format. Market Survey Research is conducted as a means to gauge people’s longer-term attitudes and opinions, usually over less volatile topics than opinion polls. Market Research is used for strategic planning, brand development, market segmentation, ROI Assessment and numerous other business sector enterprise planning.
